Elkhart TT Series - Iowa

Bill Knoedel continued his amazing Spring form by taking out another win at the Elkhart TT Series this past week in Iowa, also besting his previous time from 2 weeks ago by 30seconds over the 12k distance! It's nice to see such a great off-season of training on the bike and in the gym paying huge dividends. Excited to see how the longer time-trials end up this Summer!

Mighty Mothers Day Duathlon - New York

Sean Laude got back to racing after a solid USAT Duathlon Nationals at home in New York this past weekend taking the win after a solid all-around production of run-bike-run! After a slow start to the year due to some nagging injuries, it's nice to start seeing some consistent training completed and the results showing as we move into the summer, better weather, and longer races! Well done, Sean!

Gerbrunn Franken Cup Series - Germany

Maxi Spahn has been on a tear this Spring with some very solid results, and it finally clicked by taking the Elite win this past weekend at the Franken Cup Series in Germany. After a hard fought battle, Maxi had to let go of the German Masters National Champion by the time they crossed the finish line, but still was able to ride strong, producing some serious power numbers for the day (64min @ 4.55w/kg)! We have been working on some race type visulization in training and pre-race in order to stay more in the moment and not always look down the road to the finish line or next race, and it really seemed to pay off here. Great result, Maxi!

70.3 Mallorca - Spain

Larissa Vogt started her triathlon season off with a fine performance at the 70.3 Mallorca this past weekend. Knowing she was fit, the instructions were to line up with the fast group in the swim and see where the cards fell. She came out in under 30min, achieving our goal and setting her up for a good start to the day. Off the bike, Larissa was able to handle the mountains and wind to hold onto her 7th place from the swim. Onto the run, the heat, and wind started to take it's toll but Larissa kept moving towards the finish and really did produce a solid day! With Rapperswil 70.3 in a couple weeks, it was a great way to bust off the rust of middle-distance racing, find some things out, and work on the mental game needed for a strong performance! We will go even better in Switzerland!

Honolulu Olympic Triathlon - Hawaii

In Hawaii, Michelle Simmons took part in the annual Honolulu triathlon as a final race prep for the Hawaii 70.3 in a couple weeks. Even with a 3rd place finish Elite, and what would have been an age-group victory, the result wasn't what we wanted on the day. But we could still take some very good points from the swim, and bike that we are on the right path for a good middle-distance race. Over the next couple weeks, we look to flip that switch on the physical/mental game that the run always brings to the table.
